Moldovans evacuated from Lebanon arrived in Chisinau
Eleven citizens of the Republic of Moldova arrived safely in Chisinau after they were evacuated from Lebanon, in the context of the conflict escalation in the Middle East.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, announced yesterday that eleven citizens of the Republic of Moldova, among them mothers with children, were evacuated from Lebanon to Poland. He stated that there are still four citizens of the Republic of Moldova in Lebanon who requested help. They will be evacuated "in the next few days". We remind you that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) began a limited ground operation in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, in the context of the conflict with the militant group Hezbollah, supported by Iran. According to an official statement released by the IDF on social media, the attacks targeted "terrorist targets and infrastructure" in border areas with Israel, based on accurate information about Hezbollah locations.
