LIVE // Government in session: 11 million lei to restore the infrastructure affected by the weather and to improve healthcare services
The Government of the Republic of Moldova will discuss in today's meeting, October 9, the allocation of over 11 million lei from the intervention fund for repairs in educational institutions, placement centers and for the reconstruction of roads affected by this year's extreme weather conditions. Other important measures are also on the agenda, such as the revision of the kindergarten funding methodology and the launch of a new Information System for Transplants.
Also, the Executive will discuss support of 800 thousand lei for a family from Ungheni, whose home is in danger due to the risk of landslides. In addition to repair and reconstruction measures, the meeting agenda also includes the proposal to review the methodology of financing kindergartens. The authorities want to ensure a fair allocation of funds, given the large differences in funding per child between different localities. In this sense, a pilot project will be launched in 2025 in the districts of Anenii Noi, Cahul, Florești and Nisporeni, to adjust costs according to real needs.
The executive will also analyse the establishment of the Transplant Information System, a digital solution designed to more efficiently manage organ, tissue and cell donations and to facilitate the exchange of medical data with other states in the European Union. Implementation of this system would improve transparency and patient access to transplant services.
