LIVE Electoral debates for the republican constitutional referendum, on Radio Moldova

Radio Moldova continues the series of electoral debates for the republican constitutional referendum on October 20. Representatives of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Political Party (PP ALDE), the "RENAȘTERE" Political Party and the Coalition for Unity and Welfare Political Party (CUB) were invited to the second round of debates. The debates are moderated by Veronica Scorpan.

PP ALDE representative, Arina Spătaru, and CUB representative, Cătălin Vacarciuc, came to the studio.

We remind you that the CEC registered 15 parties to participate in the republican constitutional referendum, of which 13 are campaigning for the YES vote, and two for the NO option.

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) started printing more than 5.6 million ballot papers for the October 20 presidential election and constitutional republican referendum, which are to be distributed to polling stations in the country. For the first time, the ballot papers will be available not only in Romanian, but also in five languages of ethnic minorities: Russian, Ukrainian, Gagauz, Bulgarian and Romani.

During the meeting on Wednesday, October 9, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) accredited observers and interpreters, confirmed journalists and authorized the conduct of an opinion poll on the preferences of voters during the electoral period of the constitutional republican referendum and the elections for the position of President of the Republic Moldova from October 20, 2024.

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova will receive warning messages, in emergency situations and natural calamities, through mobile phones. A project to this effect was voted by members of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 9.
