Moldovan driving licenses to be recognized in Great Britain
Moldovan driving licenses could be recognized in the UK. Such a project is to be examined by the authorities of both countries, under the provisions of the national laws of each of them.
The agreement on the recognition and conversion of Moldovan driving licenses is a key priority in the bilateral relations between the two states, said the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Great Britain, Ruslan Bolbocean, during a meeting with the deputy director of Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FCDO), Mark Clayton.
"On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, appreciation was expressed towards the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its openness and willingness to address this high-priority issue in the interest of strengthening bilateral cooperation," reads a statement of the MFA.
We remind you that similar agreements on mutual recognition of driving licenses are signed between the Republic of Moldova and Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Albania, Spain, Greece and France.
Also, the authorities from Chisinau are negotiating the conversion of driver's licenses with Germany.
