Last polls before Sunday's elections: More than half of the voters could participate in the referendum, and there will be a second round in the presidential elections
Most citizens would participate in the constitutional referendum on October 20, and in the presidential election, none of the registered candidates would get the necessary number of votes to win in the first round. The data were reflected in the last electoral polls before the October 20 election, carried out by the company CBS AXA, at the behest of the Watchdog Moldova Community and iData and at the behest of the Public Policy Institute (IPP).
According to the poll, conducted by CBS AXA at the behest of the Moldovan Watchdog Community, 85.7 percent of the respondents declared that they would participate in the presidential elections. The poll data reveal that in the second round of voting will compete President Maia Sandu and the candidate supported by PSRM Alexandr Stoianoglo.
According to the Public Opinion Barometer, carried out by iData, commissioned by the Public Policy Institute, 84.4 percent of respondents could participate in the presidential elections. Maia Sandu and Renato Usatîi would get the most votes.
The poll carried out by CBS AXA shows that 86.3% of respondents would participate in the republican constitutional referendum on October 20. Of these, more than half would vote to amend the Constitution.
Also, the poll carried out by iDATA reveals that over 81% of citizens will participate in the republican constitutional referendum. 47.9% of respondents answered that they will choose "Yes".
We mention that the CBS Axa poll, commissioned by the Moldovan Watchdog Community, was conducted on a sample of 1034 people aged 18 and over. The people were interviewed by phone, between October 11 and 16, 2024. The sample is representative of the adult population of the Republic of Moldova, with a maximum error of ±3.05%.
1,100 people participated in the poll, conducted by iData, commissioned by the Public Policy Institute, excluding citizens from the left of the Nistru and the diaspora. The poll was conducted between September 19 and October 10, 2024, at the respondents' homes and has a maximum error of ± 2.9%.
