CNA imposed fines of around 1 million lei for electoral corruption
The National Anticorruption Center (CNA) applied fines worth about 1 million lei for electoral corruption. According to the source, more than 350 minutes, received from the Police, are being examined.
CNA informs that people who actively contribute to the discovery of these facts can be released from contraventional liability, reads the release.
"Passive electoral corruption provides for the ascertainment of the facts of claiming, accepting or receiving, personally or through an intermediary, by a voter goods, services, privileges or advantages in any form, which is not due to him, for himself or another person, in the purpose of exercising or not exercising certain electoral rights during the elections", CNA informs.
We remind you that the IGP announced that more than 400 people are documented for accepting money in exchange for voting. The authorities say that they risk fines of up to 37,500 lei.
