MFA: Another 20 citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be evacuated from Lebanon

Another 20 citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be evacuated from Lebanon. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi, after the Government meeting. Furthermore, the official stated that the situation in the Middle East remains complicated.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to evacuate a new group of our citizens, some did not want to be evacuated last time, and some did not have the documents ready yet, now this has already been done, we are looking for a flight that would be available, either from our friends from Bucharest or from Kiev, with the next flight they will be evacuated to Chisinau", said Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

We remind you that on October 2, 11 citizens of the Republic of Moldova, including women and children, were evacuated from Lebanon, following the attacks of the Israeli army on Lebanon. Also, on October 9, 18 other Moldovan citizens were evacuated and on October 10, nine of our citizens arrived safely home by plane from Poland.

CEC set the date of the second round of the presidential elections

The Press Council issued a statement on October 23 asking the two presidential candidates, Maia Sandu and Alexandr Stoianoglo, to accept the invitation of Moldova 1 TV and to hold the electoral debate on this national platform, "in accordance with the law and with respect to the country's population". The debate must be moderated by a journalist from the Public Broadcaster "Teleradio-Moldova" that can also accept the contribution of other journalists, reads the Press Council's statement.
