Over 31 thousand elderly people will benefit from a one-off allowance of 2,300 lei
Elderly people with a contribution period of over 40 years and minimum pension will receive a one-off allowance of 2300 lei. The Parliament's external political commission approved today the opinion on the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labour, the World Food Program and the International Organization for Migration regarding the provision of assistance to vulnerable families in our country.
Thus, the two international organizations will grant non-refundable aid, and the expected budget is 71 million lei. The money is intended for people with a pension of less than 3300 lei and who have contributed for at least 40 years.
"Over 31,000 people will receive a one-time allowance of 2,300 lei. Thus, this project aims to support elderly people who have a small pension and have made significant contributions throughout their career", informs the Communication and Public Relations Directorate of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The document is to be approved by the Parliament.
