Unauthorized filming at some polling stations in the diaspora. MFA reacts
Several individuals were observed filming unauthorized live streams at the entrances of polling stations in the diaspora. In Bologna, an unknown young woman set her phone on a chair to record all the voters arriving to cast their votes. Meanwhile, in Tallinn, another young woman, posing as an independent journalist, filmed people as they entered and exited the polling stations.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Liliana Barbăroșie, confirmed this information for Teleradio-Moldova. She said that the presidents of the polling stations intervened to stop these actions.
Member of the Central Electoral Commission, Dana Munteanu, said that the representatives of the embassy in Tallinn notified the authorities to ensure the integrity of the vote.
"I urged them to call the Police so that the secrecy of the vote would not be affected," said Munteanu.
We remind you that the IPN informs that the people filming would also have instructions that the transmission must be made between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. They also contain details such as "how to create a Telegram channel, how to send video to moderator, how to set the frame".
