About 30% of voters cast their votes by 1:00 p.m. The lowest voter turnout is recorded among young people aged between 18-25. In this context, the president of the CEC calls on them to participate in the elections.
"We urge the 126 young people who are turning 18 today to mark the event beautifully by participating in the elections. The call is also for the 1,608 who turned 18 in the period between the first and second round of voting," said Caraman.
According to the data presented by the CEC, the polling stations of Dondușeni, Rezina, Șoldănești are at the top of the polls, with over 28% of the voter turnout, in Chisinau- 28% , in Bălți - 25%, and in Gagauzia- 27% of votes. Over 13,000 voters voted in the 30 polling stations open for voters on the left side of the Nistru.
In the diaspora voting stations, the highest turnout is found in the two polling stations in Moscow - over 2,400 and 2,100 voters, in Bucharest - over 2,400 voters, and in Italy in Brescia over 1,700 citizens voted, and in Padua around 1600.
Also, Caraman announced that the General Police Inspectorate has reported 52 cases of violations or incidents during the electoral process. These include several cases of campaigning, cases of organized voter transportation and cases of vote-buying. Several cases of photographing the ballot paper, damaging it, or unauthorized electoral display were also documented.
