Prime Minister Dorin Recean: "The Government is prepared to address destabilization attempts"
In a social media post, he emphasized that the government is working closely with authorities in every country where polling stations are located to ensure the safety of both the voting process and the voters. This statement came following reports of hoax bomb alerts at several polling stations abroad. "As I anticipated, the attacks persist. The perpetrators fear you, which is why they've resorted to issuing hoax bomb alerts in multiple overseas polling locations," said Recean.
Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to voters in the diaspora for their significant mobilization. "Every vote counts. Thank you for your remarkable participation, and please continue to cast your votes!" he urged.
It is worth noting that hoax bomb alerts were reported at four polling stations abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that these alarms were intended solely to disrupt the voting process.
