"Diaspora writes history!" – A record number of 300,000 Moldovans vote abroad
In the presidential runoff, more than 300,000 Moldovans living abroad cast their votes by 20:00, establishing a new record. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi expressed his gratitude on social media, praising the mobilization of citizens outside the country. He encouraged those who have yet to vote to make their way to the polls.
"Diaspora writes history! (…) Thank you, dear citizens of the diaspora! We have a few more hours left to vote!"
It’s important to note that polling stations will close at 21:00. By that time, nearly 1 million 660 thousand eligible citizens cast their voting rights.
