Maia Sandu, re-elected as president of the Republic of Moldova
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) processed all minutes from the presidential runoff. Thus, the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, wins a new presidential mandate with a score of 55.33%. The candidate of the Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM), Alexandr Stoianoglo scored 44.67%.
In total, 1680608 voters voted for the two candidates. 929,964 Moldovans voted for Maia Sandu, and 750,644 voters for Alexandr Stoianoglo.
On Sunday, November 3, the second round of the presidential elections took place in the Republic of Moldova. The current president Maia Sandu and the former prosecutor general, Alexandr Stoianoglo, competed for the position of head of state.
