Boost for Moldovan businesses: €10.7M German grant

The Republic of Moldova is set to receive a non-refundable €10.7 million grant from the German government. The funds will be allocated to bolster the local business environment.

To this end, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development signed an Implementation Agreement on Tuesday for the “Moldova SME Development Facility” project. This agreement complements the Grant and Project Agreement signed on March 11.

Of the total sum, €10 million will be earmarked for providing investment loans to small and medium-sized enterprises, while €700,000 will be allocated for consultancy services aimed at supporting the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development in the efficient implementation of the project.
