This information was confirmed to Teleradio-Moldova by the head of the presidential office, Adrian Băluțel.

According to the European Council, the leaders gathered in Hungary will discuss a range of security challenges facing Europe, including Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, the ongoing escalation in the Middle East, illegal migration, and issues related to economic security and energy connectivity, as well as transportation, information technology, and global trade.

A total of 47 heads of state and government have been invited to this meeting, including President Maia Sandu.

It is worth mentioning that the European Political Community (EPC) is a platform for cooperation among European states, launched in 2022 to address shared challenges. To date, four editions of the summit have been held, in the Czech Republic, the Republic of Moldova, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

The second edition of the summit was organised by the Republic of Moldova. The meeting in Bulboaca, Anenii Noi district, brought together 45 European leaders and was hosted for the first time by a non-EU country. The main topics of discussion included security, energy resilience, and climate action.
