Ukraine targets Russian war machine with drone strike
Ukrainian drones struck a munitions factory in the Tula region of central Russia in a nighttime attack, a source from the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) told Reuters today.
Russia claims it was targeted overnight by a massive Ukrainian drone attack, resulting in the downing of 50 drones across seven regions.
The attack on the Aleksinski chemical plant, which produces black powder, ammunition, and weapons, is part of Ukraine's strategy to target factories supporting Russia's war effort.
The SBU source did not provide an estimate of the damage to the Aleksinski plant.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported a complex situation on the frontline on Saturday, with over 170 combat engagements in the past 24 hours, primarily in the eastern regions."
