According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, women and children arrived at Chișinău International Airport on the Beirut-Dubai-Chișinău route. To date, 47 Moldovan citizens have been safely evacuated from Lebanon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chișinău released a video in which a woman recounts that she has lived in Lebanon for two decades and fled the war without taking anything with her.

“I have lived in Lebanon for 20 years. Everything was fine until the war started; we were forced to flee our homes. That night, we left with nothing, just as we were.”

The repatriation of these nine Moldovan citizens was made possible through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Turkey (also accredited for Lebanon), and support from the International Organization for Migration. Currently, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are no individuals remaining on the waiting list to leave the Near East. Other citizens who initially opted for repatriation later decided to remain in the country.

Earlier, through similar diplomatic efforts, 38 Moldovan citizens were repatriated from Lebanon to the Republic of Moldova.
