Presidential elections in Romania: the police will ensure public order at the polling stations open on the territory of the Republic of Moldova

On the territory of the Republic of Moldova, 59 polling stations will be organized for the presidential elections in Romania, which will take place between November 22-24. In this context, the General Police Inspectorate announces that the law enforcement officers will be on duty these days to provide support in ensuring public order and guarding polling stations.

"To ensure the smooth running of the electoral process, the police will monitor the transport units responsible for delivering ballot papers and safeguarding the integrity of other electoral documents. They will also provide security at polling stations," stated the IGP)

According to information from the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova, there will be 17 polling stations in the northern region, 34 in the central region (including 16 in the city of Chisinau), and eight in the southern region. These polling stations will also be open for the elections for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies on December 1.

Romanian citizens, including Moldovans holding Romanian citizenship, will be able to vote for 14 candidates. This list features leaders of political parties in Romania as well as independent candidates with significant political experience, as reported by HotNews.
