The activity of the Palanca-Maiaki-Udobnoe border crossing point will be suspended on November 21, between 08:00 and 14:00, the Customs Service informs.

According to the cited source, maintenance work on the electrical network is planned during this period.

"These works are necessary to ensure the best operation of the electrical infrastructure in the future," informs the Customs Service.

In this context, travellers are urged to opt in advance for the crossing through the Tudora border crossing point, located nearby.

However, the authorities plan to buy new surveillance and air defense systems, as stated by Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi following a government meeting. He emphasized that as long as there is ongoing conflict on the border and Russian forces continue to target military and civilian locations in Ukraine, there is a risk that additional drones may reach Moldovan territory.
