About 500 jobs displayed at the Job Fair, organized in Soroca

Over 500 job vacancies were displayed today at the job fair in the municipality of Soroca. The offers targeted various fields of activity, such as the manufacturing industry, education, medicine and construction. Visitors to the fair said that they were looking for stable jobs that would offer them financial security and motivating salaries.

"First of all, I am looking for a good team, a team that would be a mentor, a good guide for me personally as a beginner. Last but not least is the salary, which we know very well that money is never a lot";

"It should be a stable job. I am looking for work as a security guard or a sweeper, at least something. I worked this summer and now I am jobless";

“It’s a sewing factory that I want to see what offers it has,” the people said.

The employers say they are looking for specialists and are ready to attract them with competitive salaries.

“We came with four job offers related to the field of purchases and sales in the production sector as a laboratory assistant for the analysis of cereal products. We offer a competitive salary, permanent work, timely payment, transportation, meal vouchers”;

“We came with three offers - electrician, auto electrician and machinist in cold storage rooms. I managed to select one person, but we still have to have a conversation to see how prepared the person is, qualified in the field”;

“We need accountants and a chief accountant in Soroca, because we want to open a branch in Soroca as well. Two ladies answered our phone and we hope they will send us their CVs and we can hire them”, said the employers.

The event is organized by the Norwegian Refugee Council, the Employment Directorate and the Soroca District Council. “People who are looking for a job were invited to this event and on this platform they have the opportunity to negotiate directly with employers about vacant positions, about the method of employment,” said Veaceslav Rusnac, president of the Soroca district.

“Today we have around a hundred vacancies registered in the database of the directorate. Most jobs in the food industry are in demand,” said Cristina Dragalin, head of the Employment Office.

“We hope that those who come here today will find the opportunities they are looking for, and organizations will also hire people who have something to offer in terms of knowledge and experience,” said Anna Celac, representative of the Norwegian Refugee Council.

According to the organizers, the employment rate at such events is about 20 percent.
