Moldsilva Agency to sell over 46,000 Christmas trees
The "Moldsilva" Agency reports that over 46,000 Christmas trees will be available for sale this winter holiday season, starting December 2, at forestry nurseries nationwide.
The Christmas trees come in sizes ranging from 1 m to over 5 m in height, with prices determined based on these sizes and the expenses incurred in their cultivation.
The "Moldsilva" Agency states that the Christmas trees are not sourced from the National Forest Fund but are instead planted and maintained in the forestry nurseries of territorial forestry entities specifically for holiday sales.
The "Moldsilva" Agency reminds the public that forest security and protection are intensified during this period, with raids conducted in forest areas involving forestry enterprise staff, the Environmental Protection Inspectorate, and local police.
Illegal logging is punishable by fines ranging from 50 to 100 conventional units (1 unit ~ 2.5 euro) for individuals, while legal entities face fines between 300 and 500 conventional units or community service.
