Residents of Boșcana, Criuleni and Iliciovca, Florești, elect their mayor today

The second round of the new local elections for the position of mayor in Boșcana commune, Criuleni district and Iliciovca commune, Florești district takes place on Sunday, December 1. According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the voting process is proceeding normally.

By 09:00, a total of 127 voters or 3.11% cast their vote. In Boșcana commune, Criuleni district, 78 voters (2.74%) voted and in Iliciovca commune, Florești district – 49 voters (3.97%).

A total of 4,083 voters are registered on the basic electoral lists, of which 2,849 voters in Boșcana commune, Criuleni district and 1,234 voters in Iliciovca commune, Florești district.

According to the CEC, following the new local elections on November 17, no candidate for mayor in these localities received more than half of the number of valid votes cast.

The 3 polling stations organized for the second round of the new local elections are open between 07:00 and 21:00.

We remind you that a voter who, for health reasons or other valid reasons, cannot come to the polling station, may request to vote with a mobile ballot box. On the day of voting, applications are approved by the electoral office until 14:00 only upon presentation of a medical certificate.

Under the legislation, in the second round of voting, the candidate who scored most of the votes is considered elected. In case of parity of votes, the candidate who scored the highest number of votes in the first round of voting is considered elected.
