Moldova seeks global support for European integration
Now, more than ever, the Republic of Moldova needs the support of all democratic forces to stay part of the free world and to continue on its European path, said Igor Grosu, Speaker of Parliament, at the International Democrat Union Forum in Washington.
The official stated on his social media page that he discussed the challenges our country and the entire region are facing.
Igor Grosu also mentioned that "this year, too, in the middle of winter, the Kremlin is cynically using the gas issue for political purposes, aiming to create dependency and chaos in countries from its former sphere of influence."
During his visit to the United States, Igor Grosu announced that a General Consulate of the Republic of Moldova will be opened in Chicago in the first half of 2025.
"It was a collective effort, but first and foremost, it is thanks to our people there, who are committed and work with dedication," Grosu said during a meeting in Chicago with the Moldovan diaspora.
It is worth noting that Igor Grosu is on a working visit to the United States from December 2 to December 9. Mihai Popșoi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, is also in the U.S.
