Moldovan citizens settled in four states will be able to receive their passports at the requested address
Moldovan citizens settled in Romania, Austria, Sweden and Hungary will be able to order passports through the diplomatic missions of these countries, and the documents will be delivered to the address requested by them. The decision was approved during today's meeting of the Government.

They will be able to pay for the services rendered on the spot with a bank card they own and will have the opportunity to choose the payment option – in foreign currency or in national currency. In the case of payment in Moldovan lei, payment processing will be carried out through MPay.
At the same time, citizens who apply for a passport through the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova will be able to receive the document at their home address or at the place of stay abroad. This is possible through the government delivery service MDelivery.
The new way of documenting citizens became possible thanks to a pilot project, implemented by the Public Services Agency (ASP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE). At the initial stage, the MAEIE missions with headquarters in Bucharest, Vienna, Stockholm and Budapest were included in the project. Later, all diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be able to benefit from this option.
