Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in India was officially inaugurated
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of India was officially inaugurated on Monday, December 16. On this occasion, the official plaque of the embassy was unveiled, marking a new chapter in the relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of India.
In his speech, Minister Mihai Popșoi said: “I am honoured to be present at the official inauguration ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi. This event marks an important moment in strengthening bilateral relations between our countries and opens up new opportunities for cooperation and strategic dialogue”.
In turn, the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, said: “This moment reflects the shared commitment that we have consolidated since diplomatic relations were established in 1992. What defines this collaboration is mutual support at the international level, within multilateral institutions, and, last but not least, bilateral relations based on trust and harmony”.
In turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to India Ana Taban highlighted the main achievements of cooperation between the two countries and stressed that the role of diplomacy is to achieve concrete results for the benefit of citizens. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau, the official inauguration ceremony brought together Indian officials, diplomats from the Ministry of External Affairs of India, heads of diplomatic missions and businessmen.
During the visit to India, the Framework Agreement was signed, which provides that the Republic of Moldova becomes part of the International Solar Alliance (ISA). By signing this agreement, our country strengthens its commitment to supporting the transition to a greener and more sustainable energy system.
