International partners are prepared to assist the Republic of Moldova in potential crises. During a working meeting of the Special Commission for Monitoring and Parliamentary Control over the Political Achievements of the Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian announced that international partners will offer humanitarian aid if needed. This meeting took place on December 17 at the Parliament.

As part of the preparations, territorial subdivisions and local public authorities in the Security Zone have been urged to compile a list of essential goods to request specialized support from available resources.

The meeting also addressed the current situation in the energy sector of the Republic of Moldova, discussing potential intervention strategies in various scenarios. The discussion included identifying assistance needs to protect high-risk groups and ensure the proper functioning of national institutions linked to natural gas delivery and electricity supply systems, particularly on the left bank of the Nistru and in the municipality of Bender. This encompasses educational institutions, prisons, placement centers, and hospitals.

Furthermore, there was a strong emphasis on the increasing need to enhance energy efficiency and to take swift measures to mitigate the impact of potential crises resulting from reduced natural gas and electricity supplies.
