Ministry of Energy: Republic of Moldova has stable electricity supply

The Ministry of Energy has refuted the fake information online, which claims that the Republic of Moldova is facing an impending energy crisis. Official data indicates a stable electricity supply and a diversified range of consumption sources.

For December 16, renewable sources represented 14% of national energy consumption. Thus, domestic production, provided by CET-2, CET-Nord and renewable energy, covered 41% of consumption needs. The rest of the energy was completed through purchases: 31% from the Cuciurgan Power Plant (MGRES) and 27% through imports from Romania.
