Igor Grosu signed a provision regulating the use of the Parliament's conference room. Socialists criticize the decision

A provision signed by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, which regulates the use of the conference room of the Legislative was criticized today by socialists. Experts claim that the act establishes internal rules in the institution's activity and is not anti-democratic.

The provision signed today by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, regarding the use of the meeting rooms of the Parliament, also establishes the categories of people who will have access to the conference room. It is about the members of the Parliament and other representatives of the state, but also foreign officials. Socialist deputy Adela Răileanu, however, considers the Provision as anti-democratic, because it prohibits ordinary citizens, civic activists, representatives of NGOs from participating in press conferences in the Parliament premises. Contacted by phone, several PAS deputies refused to comment on the allegations. The provision issued today is not a dictatorial one, but rather establishes some internal rules of the institution's activity, says Promo-Lex expert Vadim Vieru. He also told Radio Moldova that citizens, activists, farmers or all those who want to make public statements can do so in front of the Parliament. The provision in question was issued so that political parties do not use the Parliament's platform on subjects that do not belong to the parliamentary agenda, said the expert.
