US grants the Republic of Moldova $80 million to improve transport infrastructure and trade with Ukraine
The United States will provide our country with $80 million in non-repayable financial assistance, which will be used to improve transport infrastructure and boost trade with Ukraine. Priority projects include the construction of expanded truck parking areas at Moldova’s borders to facilitate the management of border traffic.
A portion of the funds will be allocated to safeguard the nation's critical networks from cyberattacks.
With this funding, the total amount granted to the Republic of Moldova under the 2016 US Assistance Agreement will surpass $512 million. This highlights the United States' continued commitment to supporting Moldova's economic development and its integration into Europe.
