Moldova Parliament to conclude 2023 session with key bills
The second regular session of Parliament for this year will end on December 27. A decision on this matter is set to be adopted today by the deputies during the plenary session.
According to the agenda approved by the Permanent Bureau, Parliament will also discuss the National Defense Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for the years 2024–2034. The deputies will also debate the legislative initiative containing support measures for farmers.
In the second reading, the legislative initiative addressing certain aspects of military service fulfillment, as well as amendments to the Customs Code that continue to provide benefits to residents of Free Economic Zones, will be debated.
In the first reading, a legislative initiative containing provisions to facilitate the business environment, a bill aimed at modernizing the civil registry services system, and a bill concerning animal protection will be examined.
The agenda also includes two bills drafted to harmonize national legislation with European Union legislation. These concern the regulations on the marketing of fertilizing products and the environmental liability bill, focusing on the prevention and remediation of environmental damage.
