Additionally, 40 cases of seasonal flu were recorded over the week, representing a fivefold increase compared to the previous week, according to ANSP data.
Twenty-eight cases of COVID-19 were reported, including six in the Transnistrian region. Ten cases of this virus were reported among children aged 14 and under.
At Monday's City Hall meeting, it was announced that the number of COVID-19 and other viral infections is declining in Chisinau. According to Vladimir Bolocan, head of the Health Department, currently, one child is hospitalized with COVID.
Public health experts urge citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and other respiratory infections. Furthermore, ANSP reiterates the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene and a healthy lifestyle, which includes a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables, adequate rest, and regular physical activity.
