The weather is getting colder and will remain gloomy for Christmas. Rainy weather is forecast that will gradually turn into sleet.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, the minimum temperature at night will drop from 0..+5°C on Wednesday to -2..+3 degrees Celsius. During the day, the maximum temperature will be between 0..+6 degrees.

The wind will blow from the northeast moderately.For Thursday, December 26, light frost and ice formation on roads are expected in limited areas.

Two missiles launched by the Russian army against the energy infrastructure in Ukraine flew over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova. The information was confirmed by the Border Police and representatives of the Government. One of the missiles was observed by a patrol in the Iampol-Cosăuți direction. Later, another one allegedly crossed the airspace of the Republic of Moldova in the Otaci-Moghilev Podolsk area and exited through the border with Romania in the Dorohoi-Herța area. The National Army's airspace monitoring system did not detect the overflight of our country's airspace by any missiles or drones, informs the Ministry of Defense.

The Republic of Moldova advanced during 2024 on the path to accession to the European Union, despite the major challenges caused by the war launched by the Russian Federation in Ukraine and the hybrid pressures against our country. The challenges could continue in 2025, and they derive from the fact that the Russian Federation does not respect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, Cristina Gherasimov said in an interview for Moldova1 TV. The Republic of Moldova is working to know how to react in such a way as to diminish the dangers that threaten the European path, and 2030 is a real deadline for completing preparations for accession to the EU.
