Residents of Chisinau, Balti and Comrat could pay more for heat
Heat could significantly increase in price for consumers in Chisinau and the municipalities of Balti and Comrat. Termoelectrica, CET-Nord and the municipal enterprise of networks and thermal power plants Comrat submitted requests for an increase in thermal energy tariffs to the National Energy Regulatory Agency.
Thus, in Chisinau, consumers could pay 2564 lei for one gigacalorie, by 740 lei more than at present. Thermal energy could become more expensive in the municipality of Balti by almost 800 lei. The supplier requested a tariff of 2612 lei.
In Comrat, one gigacalorie could have a price of 3509 lei, by over 600 lei more than currently. It is worth mentioning that the tariff adjustment is motivated by the gas purchase price which has also increased.
The requests are to be examined by ANRE which will later come up with a draft decision.
We remind you that thermal energy tariffs were increased in July this year at Termoelectrica and in September at CET Nord. At the moment, Termoelectrica consumers pay 1,824 lei for one gigacalorie (excluding VAT), and those at CET Nord - 1,819 lei.
