Roberta Metsola reflects on 2024 and hopes for European unity in 2025
A year marked by challenges but also significant achievements – this is how 2024 was characterized by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, who was re-elected to the position this year.
Roberta Metsola expressed her hope that 2025 would bring the citizens of Europe closer together.
“This was a year in which we listened to people, addressed their concerns, faced challenges both great and small together, gave a voice to those unheard, and found solutions. While we cannot predict what 2025 will bring, I am confident that we will strengthen our bond as Europeans, allowing us to adapt and stand united in facing any challenge. I am certain that, regardless of what happens, Europe will remain a beacon to the world, and we will continue working to make people’s lives easier, safer, and more prosperous. Wishing you all a very happy New Year,” Roberta Metsola said in her message.
We note that the President of the European Parliament last visited our country on May 21, 2023, attending the European Moldova National Assembly.
