Armed Forces of Ukraine: Russians used hypersonic missiles "Kinjal" to hit targets throughout the country
The Russians used hypersonic "Kinjal" guided missiles to hit targets across the country in yesterday morning's attacks in the neighbouring country, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluyiny announced.
A total of 47 missiles were destroyed by the Ukrainian army, 20 of them in the area of the capital Kiev, he said.
At least 11 people have died and 11 others have been injured after the Russian missile and drone strikes, the Kyiv Independent reports, quoting the Ukrainian emergency service.
Russian fighter jets have launched a wave of missile attacks on Ukraine and air alerts have been triggered across the country.
Russia has been attacking the electricity grid with missiles and drones since October, causing massive outages in the country. Russian rockets have also targeted the Lviv region, Dnepropetrovsk, Vinnitsa and Odessa.
