Energocom ensures electricity imports from Romania for January 17

Energocom announces that it has secured the required commercial capacity to import electricity at Romania's border.

This was achieved through bilateral contracts as well as energy market transactions, ensuring the electricity needs for January 17 are fully covered.

According to forecasts, energy consumption on the right bank of the Nistru River is anticipated to decrease by 3% on Friday, January 17, compared to January 16.

A chart compiled by Energocom, using data from producers and distributors, suggests a potential decrease in peak-hour consumption.

On January 17, renewable energy facilities are expected to generate twice the amount of electricity compared to January 16.

Energocom encourages consumers to conserve electricity during peak hours to reduce bills and support the reliability of the power grid.

In recent days, electricity consumption on the right bank of the Nistru River has been fully met, with no activation of emergency supply contracts needed.
