EU cars, fraudulently introduced into the Republic of Moldova: a man from Ungheni, detained for influence peddling
A man from the Ungheni district was detained by CNA officers in connection with a case of influence peddling. According to the investigation, the suspect allegedly claimed he could persuade employees at the Sculeni Customs Post to allow the temporary importation of two cars registered in European Union countries.

In connection with these interventions, he is accused of requesting 450 euros and 600 euros, respectively. Additionally, the man is suspected of facilitating the illegal introduction of another vehicle by an individual who no longer had the right to bring foreign vehicles into the Republic of Moldova. In this instance, he allegedly demanded 400 euros, which were received under the supervision of the National Anticorruption Center (CNA).
He has been detained for 72 hours, and the investigation into this case is ongoing.
