Igor Dodon no longer departs for Romania

Ex-president Igor Dodon announced that he had given up travelling and would look for solutions for the recovery of his youngest child in Moldova.

"Due to the prohibition by the prosecutor of the case for the wife to accompany us, as well as the pressure and persecution against the doctors who wrote the prescription for rehabilitation, we have decided not to travel," Igor Dodon posted on his Facebook page.

Moreover, Dodon says he has no plans to evade justice, attaching the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice magistrates.

Igor Dodon is not allowed to leave the Republic of Moldova.

His lawyers have applied for permission for him to leave the country for a few days.
