Residents of Peresecina will benefit from quality drinking water, thanks to a new treatment plant
The treatment plant in the village of Peresecina, Orhei district will be put into operation by the end of 2025, the Ministry of Environment announces. It is being built from scratch with the support of the National Environmental Fund, which allocated the amount of 29 million lei.

With a capacity of 600 cubic meters per day, the plant will improve the quality of drinking water, ensuring the health of residents, reads a press release of the institution.
Currently, only one reservoir is operating, with a volume of 200 m³ per day, and with the increase in the volume of water, the other reservoirs will also be put into operation.
The project also includes the construction of an 18 km long expanded sewage network, intended to serve 3200 households in the village, which means a cleaner environment and less polluted soil.
In this context, the authorities urge city halls across the country to apply for projects financed by the Environmental Fund to implement initiatives through which the country's villages and towns will become cleaner and healthier.
