The Republic of Moldova will be able to export more wine to Turkey, after the extension of the Free Trade Agreement
In Ankara, the extension of the Free Trade Agreement with Turkey was agreed, which will allow a substantial increase in the export quotas for our products in Turkey, including wine. This was agreed upon during the meeting of the Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu with the Minister of Trade from Turkey Mehmet Muș.
The officials also agreed that this year the official opening of the Moldovan-Turkish Chamber of Commerce will be organized, which will also be accompanied by a forum of businessmen. Currently, Turkish companies are developing successful businesses in areas such as the food industry, mobile telephony, infrastructure, medicine and the hotel industry. The Parliament Speaker presented the business and investment opportunities of the Republic of Moldova, highlighting the economic sectors with growth potential and the business climate, including the fiscal facilities offered to foreign investors by the Moldovan authorities. "We must do everything possible to increase the number of businesses, only in this way we will be able to create new jobs at home, if we want the Republic of Moldova to prosper, and people to live better in their country", Igor Grosu said.
The Parliament Speaker also talked with the president of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Serkan Kayalar. Igor Grosu thanked him that, in the more than 25 years of activity in the Republic of Moldova, more than 400 projects worth more than 400 million euros were implemented, which improved the quality of life of our citizens. "In the future, we would like to expand these projects in the diversification of regional cooperation with an emphasis on the development of local infrastructure projects, including energy efficiency projects in public buildings, agriculture, teacher training," said the Parliament Speaker. A parliamentary delegation, led by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu, paid an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, between January 25 and 27. The members of the delegation included deputies Fiodor Gagauz, Radu Marian, Sergiu Lazarencu and Larisa Novac.
