OPCOM will open a representative office in the Republic of Moldova

OPCOM, the operator of the electricity and natural gas market in Romania, will open a representative office in the Republic of Moldova, said Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, during a program on TVR Moldova. He also said that the Government's energy strategy is closely related to Romania.

The official also referred to the recent visit to Bucharest, stating that he discussed with the Romanian authorities about the preparation for next winter. Andrei Spînu mentioned the importance of the energy interconnection with Romania, in particular, the completion of the construction of the Isaccea - Vulcănești and Bălți - Suceava lines in the next three to four years. In the winter of 2023-2024, we must be better prepared, the minister said.
