Real Madrid triumphs 3-2 in thrilling quarterfinal against Leganes

The team, coached by Italian Carlo Ancelotti, eliminated Deportivo Leganes from the competition, scoring the winning goal in the added time after 90 regular minutes. Real Madrid won the away game 3-2.

The visitors were 2-0 up by the 25th minute, thanks to goals from Modric and Endrick, but the Leganes side, a suburb of Madrid, didn’t give up and managed to equalize. Juan Cruz scored both goals for the hosts. However, Real Madrid delivered the knockout punch in the 90th+3 minute. Young forward Gonzalo Garcia scored the winning goal, and Real Madrid joined city rivals Atletico in the semifinals. The final two quarterfinal matches, FC Valencia vs FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad vs Osasuna Pamplona, will be played this evening.
