Transnistrian region continues to receive gas from EU grants, but it has not provided an official response to the imposed conditions

For the second consecutive day, the Transnistrian region has requested and received 3 million cubic meters of gas from Chisinau, drawing from the grant offered by the European Union. This volume represents the maximum limit allowed by the Commission for Emergencies (CSE) regarding the supply of European gas to areas on the left bank of the Nistru.

According to SA Energocom, from February 1 to February 7, a total of 17.275 million cubic meters of gas were purchased from regional exchanges and delivered to the national network based on requests from Tiraspoltransgaz. The largest quantities were supplied in the last two days, with 3 million cubic meters delivered each day.

On February 1, the region received 450 thousand cubic meters, and the volume increased to 2.7 million cubic meters on the following day. On February 3, 2.575 million cubic meters were delivered, followed by another 2.7 million cubic meters on February 4. On February 5, consumers on the left bank of the Nistru received 2.85 million cubic meters, and in the last two days, February 6 and 7, 3 million cubic meters were supplied each day.

We remind you that five days after the announcement of a European support package worth 60 million euros, Tiraspol has not yet responded. The Office for Reintegration Policies claims that the administration on the left bank of the Nistru received letters from Chisinau regarding the assistance offered by the European Union to overcome the energy crisis, along with a list of implementation conditions. However, they have not provided any response, a fact confirmed by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, during a TV show. Nevertheless, the authorities remain optimistic and hope that Tiraspol will eventually accept the conditions set by the Europeans.
