Energocom fully used the EU grant of 20 million euros for the purchase of gas for the Transnistrian region
Energocom acquired 26.5 million cubic meters of natural gas for the Transnistrian region, fully utilizing the 20 million euro grant from the European Union. These purchases were made between February 1 and February 10, following requests from Tiraspoltransgaz and the directives of the Commission for Emergencies.

According to a company statement, the purchase price was approximately 57 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh) or nearly 600 euros per 1,000 cubic meters (m³). In addition to this price, regulatory fees, taxes, and logistics and transport expenses are added, which can sometimes account for almost 25% of the total purchase cost.
The purchase transactions were carried out on the stock exchanges in Romania and Bulgaria, following the provisions set forth by the Commission for Emergencies on February 1.
