The fixed amount insurance policy could become three times more expensive
The fixed amount mandatory medical assistance insurance premium could increase up to 12,636 lei in 2023 or three times compared to 4,056 lei as of cost in recent years. The increase is provided for in the draft of the Law on mandatory medical assistance insurance funds for next year, the National Medical Insurance Commission (CNAM) announces.

According to CNAM, the mandatory medical insurance premium as a percentage of salary and other rewards is kept at 9%, and facilities will be applied when paying it in the first three months of the year.
Thus, the owners of agricultural land will pay 1,014 lei if they are not simultaneously part of other categories of payers.
For natural persons carrying out independent activities in the field of retail trade, with the exception of trade in goods subject to excise duties, the AOAM premium is established in the amount of 1,622 lei.
At the same time, it is proposed to establish the insurance premium in the amount of 2,028 lei for the founders of individual enterprises, patent holders, lessees, natural persons who carry out activities in the field of plant and/or horticulture product purchases and/ or objects of the plant kingdom, other citizens who are not employed and are not insured by the Government, foreigners with the right of permanent residence and beneficiaries of international protection, foreigners who have been granted the right of temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, mediators, notaries, lawyers, bailiffs, judicial experts who work within a judicial expertise office, interpreters, translators and authorised administrators, regardless of the legal form of organisation of the activity, self-employed, who obtained a certificate, licence or authorization in according to the law, unemployed persons who independently practise the profession of family doctor will pay the insurance premium of 4,056 lei.
According to CNAM, following the approval of the draft law, the increase of revenues and expenses by 15.1% is forecast.
