Ukraine sanctions former president Petro Poroshenko
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against former President Petro Poroshenko.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that an official decree would soon be published, without directly naming Poroshenko, according to the Kyiv Independent.
Petro Poroshenko was the President of Ukraine from 2014 to 2019.
Following Zelensky’s victory, more than 20 criminal cases were opened against him. Poroshenko was accused of treason, and his shares in 19 companies were confiscated. Furthermore, his affiliated companies were fined millions of dollars by Ukraine’s Anti-Monopoly Committee, as reported by Forbes Ukraine.
