Maia Sandu, in Munich: "A united Europe is the only way to peace, security and prosperity"
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, declared, after the Munich Security Conference, that a united Europe is the only path to peace, security, and prosperity and that peace in Ukraine "cannot be decided without Ukraine, nor Europe."

"No one wants peace more than Ukraine. We, in Moldova, want peace too—we want a lasting peace that will keep us in the free world." Such a peace cannot be decided without Ukraine, nor Europe," Maia Sandu said, referring to regional security.
We remind you that Maia Sandu participated in the Munich Security Conference, a reference forum in the field of global security, where she discussed with international leaders the need to strengthen European unity and cooperation of democracies in the face of current security challenges.
On the sidelines of the conference, Maia Sandu discussed with several officials present at the event, including the President of the European Council, António Costa, the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, the Prime Minister of Ireland, Micheál Martin, the Chancellor of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, and the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Joly. In the dialogue with Salome Zourabichvili, President Sandu reaffirmed her support for democracy and the European path of the Georgian people.
Also, the role of the Republic of Moldova in regional security and the importance of international support in strengthening the resilience of our country were addressed during the discussions.
