Moldova protest demands Sandu’s resignation and elections
Several members and supporters of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) organized a protest in front of the Presidency.

They stated that they were protesting against the government of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS). They also demanded the president's resignation and called for both parliamentary and presidential elections to take place on the same day.
The protesters chanted: “Down with PAS and Maia Sandu,” “Resignation,” “We want justice,” “Down with the government,” “We want elections,” “Early elections.”
PSRM leader Igor Dodon was also present at the protest.
“Today, we are here with heavy hearts for our people. I know that everyone here is concerned about rates, prices, and pensions, but we need to understand one very clear thing. There will be no lower rates, no higher salaries or pensions until we chase everyone out of this building and the other one, from the ‘yellow sect.’ We must secure both presidential and parliamentary elections on the same day. We won’t succeed any other way,” declared Igor Dodon.
When asked by Teleradio-Moldova for a comment, Adrian Băluțel, head of the President's Office, stated:
“We do not comment on political actions. They came only to create news, and we do not engage with such attempts at politicization. These are purely political actions, without any agenda for the people.”
In response to the Saturday protest, Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu also posted on his Facebook page:
“Even though Dodon wants to hand us over to a foreign state, where protests are banned and people are imprisoned for criticizing the leaders, we are grateful to live in a state where anyone, anytime, can protest against anyone. This is what democracy means. And we will fight to ensure that we remain in this kind of state,” Igor Grosu commented.
