A military camp will be built near Chisinau
A military camp near the city of Chisinau will be built in the coming years. This also provides for a residential area for military families, representatives of the Ministry of Defense told Radio Moldova.
Some military units of the National Army are located in the most urbanized areas of the city of Chisinau, this fact endangers the training of the military, therefore there is a need to create a military camp that is located near the capital, but at the same time in an area where there are no traffic jams, said for our radio station, the head of the real estate management department, Lieutenant-Colonel Tudor Lașcu. He also stated that the representatives of the Ministry of Defense will be focused this year more on the technical documentation of the project, and several feasibility studies have been carried out so far. Tudor Lașcu said that the project provides for a residential area for military families. "We mean the barracks area, the technical park area, the household area, the food block, the training area, the storage area. This year we only plan to secure the perimeter. A housing area for single soldiers or those with families will also be included in the project. It is premature to talk about financial sources. After the completion of the project documentation, the amount will be finalized, steps will be taken and submitted by the authorities to approve the staggered amount and the identification of all components". The head of the real estate management department, Tudor Lașcu, said that the land on which this military camp will be built belongs to the Ministry of Defense. According to the officer, after all the documentation is finalized, the representatives of the Ministry of Defense will contact the Ministry of Finance to receive the necessary money. We remind that there are 2 military camps in the municipality of Chisinau.
