Moldova vs Poland: A pivotal futsal match in 2026 qualifiers

The Republic of Moldova's national futsal team is preparing to face Poland in the 2026 European Championship qualifiers.

Poland currently sits in first place in the group with a perfect 6 points and a goal difference of 10-2.

Our team has earned 3 points so far, with a 2-3 loss to Slovakia and a 4-3 victory over Turkey. However, the real challenge comes on Friday. The "Tricolors" will host Poland, which has participated in the last two European Championship editions.

"There are many games left to play, but Friday’s match is undoubtedly the most important. If we get a positive result, we will stay in the race for the qualification we’re all hoping for," says player Sergiu Tacot.

"They’re a top team, but we aim to play our best at home, give it our all for the fans, and secure a positive result," says Cristian Obadă.

Poland is ranked 16th in the world, while Moldova sits at 64th.

"We’re preparing intensely, doing everything we can to battle bravely against one of the strongest teams in European futsal. Since I became coach, I’ve played many matches against the Poles, but their team has progressed rapidly and is now a real powerhouse," says coach Vladimir Vusatîi.

The Moldova vs. Poland match will take place on Friday, March 7, at the Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu and will kick off at 18:30.
